Mason Clark Associates has acquired a two storey, 2,600 sq ft office at Millshaw, for a substantial but undisclosed sum.
Mason Clarke Associates, which was launched in Hull 17 years ago, opened a Leeds office in 2005 when it acquired the Richard Brook Partnership and moved into 11,000 sq ft offices at Little Bridge House, Hunslet Road.
Mason Clark Associates director, Graham Helme, says: “We realised it was time to move somewhere better but it is not easy to find modern, high-quality office accommodation in Leeds with the option to buy. We had been searching for nine months and when he saw the Business Living unit we realised that it is ideal.
“The building has good natural light which is important for our type of work. It also has good space for our expansion plans and fast access to the motor way network as we work nationally.
“I have previously worked as advisor to a client dealing with Evans Property Group and was aware of the care they take in ensuring that their clients are looked after so this gave us confidence in completing this acquisition.”
Mason Clarke Associates, which has its head office at Newland Park, Hull, works in the residential, retirement village and commercial sectors and is currently working on a £22m retirement village in Chorley, Lancashire for Hica Life.
The firm is currently based in the top storey and aims to lease out the 1,300 sq ft ground floor as an investment to support its growth strategy.
Business Living sales assistant, Lucy Philips, says: “We have always had confidence that the specification and financial flexibility of the Business Living concept would be popular with small businesses and this is endorsed by the speed of the Mason Clark Associates deal.
“We have significant interest in other units with one currently going through the legal process and we expect to announce further deals soon.”
